We are recruiting for HGV drivers to work for the local council in Preston, immediate starts available.
You will be joining the waste team on site driving the bin wagons, working daily with 2 bin loaders, driving or loading the vehicle collecting public waste, on the odd occasion you may be required to work as a loader however you will always be paid the drivers rate.
For the suitable drivers there will be ongoing work available, with between 2 - 5 shifts per week. Experience working outdoors/with waste is preferred not essential as long as you have HGV experience. Part time drivers looking for a couple of shifts per week are also welcome to apply.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 07:00 start, job and finish
Held driving licence for over 1 year
All work is PAYE
Shifts:
Working Monday to Friday
There is also potential for overtime Weekends and Bank holidays
65 per hour
75 per hour after 13 weeks
Overtime after 8 hours and on Saturdays
Weekly pay
