Job Title: Applications / Systems Manager

Location: Newport Pagnell - Hybrid working

Salary: Competitive with benefits and annual bonus

We are currently working with a transforming hospitality business with a solid presence across the UK who are growing, with technology as a core enabler. They're looking for an Applications / Systems Manager to oversee and modernize key business applications, ensuring they align with business goals.

In this role you would be responsible for managing the application lifecycle for critical systems (POS, Inventory, Finance, HR), partnering with stakeholders to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities include :

  • Developing an Applications Strategy to optimize and modernize systems
  • Overseeing vendor management for third-party suppliers and contracts
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for key applications in projects and implementations
  • Ensuring cybersecurity and data compliance for applications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 3+ minimum experience as either an Applications or Systems Manager in retail, hospitality, or the FMCG industry.
  • Application Lifecycle Management experience, including planning, delivery, maintenance, and retirement
  • A proven track record in large-scale application implementations (ERP, POS, or HRIS)
  • Governance and Compliance expertise, including cybersecurity, data, and financial audit compliance
  • Extensive vendor and supplier management experience, including performance, contracts, and budget control
  • Excellent communication and business-partnering skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadline
