Creative Instrumentation are recruiting an Electron Beam Welder to work on small volume but high precision work within industries including Aerospace, Medical, Defence, Oil & Gas and Vacuum.
This is a permanent position to join a well-established team working on a variety of work at a high level as stipulated by both customer requirements and our own internal high standards.
The successful applicant will be working within our Electron Beam Welding team working on products within the Aerospace, Medical and Petrochemical and automotive industries.
The Main Duties are:
• Reading and implementation of drawing requirements.
• Following specifications in line with company quality procedures
• Working from drawings and/or work instructions
• Setting up parts and/or major components and preparing the components for Beam Welding.
• Document actions by completing records
• Operation of EBW machinery.
• Maintaining daily production requirements as tasked by the EBW Supervisor.
• Maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and in proper working condition at all times
• Ensure that any failures are reported to the Quality Manager & INCR data is filled out when required.
Electron Beam Welding is a well proven method of producing homogeneous joints in a wide range and combination of materials. The components to be welded are placed in a chamber which is then evacuated. High energy electrons are focused to a small diameter spot and deflected so as to impinge on the joint interface giving up their kinetic energy in the form of heat.
Due to the specialist nature of the position, we are open to applicants who are willing to be trained in Electron Beam Welding, although it is imperative that you are extremely methodical, have excellent attention to detail and have a background in engineering.
The hours for this position are Monday - Thursdays 8.00-16.00 and
Fridays. 8.00-13.30
