Location: London, UK
This is a key member of the Security, Safety & Resilience (SSR) Team, reporting directly to the Head of SSR.
This person is responsible for all operational matters in relation to the London Broadcasting Hub.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance and consistency within and across security teams with security policy and procedures.
Ensure compliance and safety of all Close Protection (CP) teams for London based staff, or those visiting London on company business.
Identify risk and vulnerabilities across the site, bringing them to the attention of the security executive.
Oversee the relationship with site security contractors.
Manage the initial security response plans to incidents, supporting Shift Supervisors as required.
Liaise with other parts of the site and make security recommendations to Senior Security Management.
Record any incidents or accidents in accordance with the relevant legislation.
Respond to significant incidents as required, ensuring a comprehensive response.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required.
Lead and support awareness briefings for staff ensuring awareness of the threats and risks for the business.
Liaise with Shift Supervisors to help manage rotas and staff management of security teams.
Ensure that staff maintain a sense of vigilance and awareness promoting a culture of reporting of suspicious behaviour.
Assist in the organisation and participation of security and cross-business drills to enhance preparedness and resilience.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
Being ‘on-call’ for the SSR on-call rota, currently envisaged to be one week in three.
Requirements
Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Experience of working with CCTV & Access Control systems.
Minimum L3 First aid qualification, such as FAAW.
Preferred skills
Knowledge of working in a fast paced, dynamic media environment.
Knowledge of CP operations.
A current security qualification (Security Institute, SIA, ISMI).
Knowledge or qualification in Health & Safety.
Experience of working in a Security Control Room (SCR).
Where necessary, training may be provided or funded to provide additional support if required.
