We are seeking Smart Buildings Consultants to join our London-based Engineering studio. This is a chance to influence some of the world’s most ambitious and technologically advanced buildings – working alongside architects, engineers, digital specialists, and clients from concept through to handover. What You'll Be Doing • Contribute to the design and integration of smart building systems, digital infrastructure, and IoT solutions across high-profile projects. • Develop digital strategies, technical specifications, schematics, and Revit-based documentation. • Engage directly with clients, design teams, and contractors at every project stage – nationally and internationally. • Support systems integration that enables user-centric services, platform-based control, and data-driven operations. • Promote cybersecurity, connectivity, and interoperability across smart systems and digital networks. • Share knowledge with colleagues and help build a collaborative, innovation-driven studio culture. What We're Looking For • A degree in a relevant subject (Mechanical, Electrical, ICT, Computer Science) and professional membership (or working towards it), or equivalent experience. • Good knowledge of smart building systems, digital strategy, and system integration across MEP, IT, AV, and security, with a willingness to continue developing expertise. • Familiarity with building systems protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BACnet, LoRaWAN), IoT frameworks, and data analytics platforms. • Familiarity with RIBA or AIA design stages, and an interest in developing the ability to contribute through design, coordination, and construction. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, collaborative mindset. Familiarity with software tools such as Revit, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
