Progress Teachers are working to appoint a knowledgeable and passionate Teacher of French to join a strong MFL department in a Leicester Secondary School.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving attainment within the School's MFL Department, helping pupils to develop a love for languages and make positive academic progress.

Responsibilities:
* Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver high-quality French lessons that engage pupils and help them develop their listening, reading, writing and speaking skills in the target language.
* Curriculum Development: Support the MFL department in developing schemes of learning and resources that are in line with the School's vision.
* Assessment and Feedback: Conduct regular assessment of all four key skills, maintaining accurate records of outcomes for reporting and analysis.
* Classroom Management: Manage classroom behaviour effectively through the consistent use of the School's behaviour policy.
* Professional Development: Stay abreast of developments in MFL education, continuously enhancing your own knowledge and skills to deliver up-to-date and relevant content.
* Wider School Responsibilities: Engage and actively participate in wider professional responsibilities such as lunchtime duty, parents evenings, and transition open evenings as required by the School.
Qualification Requirements:
* Teaching Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a focus on MFL is highly advantageous, however, experienced non-qualified teachers will also be considered for the role.
* Subject Knowledge: A degree in French / Francophone Studies or a related field, with a strong understanding of key concepts and a passion for the subject.
* Teaching Experience: Proven experience as a Secondary MFL teacher with a successful track record of student achievement is also advantageous, however, ECTs will also be considered for the role.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
* Commitment to Inclusion: A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment that caters to the needs of all students.
* A DBS on the Update Service or Willingness to obtain.
