Network Maintenance Craftsperson , you will be focusing on maintaining and calibrating instrument systems on a variety of gas sites owned and operated by NGN. The systems range from simple transmitter loops to fiscal metering systems. This will be a mobile role and is located across the North of our Network in Carlisle, North Tyneside, Sunderland and Middlesbrough. Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include but not limited to • Standby 365 days a year on a rota basis ideally 1 in 4 • Variable work patterns (when required) and lone working out of hours • You will maintain and calibrate instrumentation systems as well as fault finding • There will be the repair and replacement of components, fittings, and fixtures • You will be expected to complete paperwork and update systems for results and readings • Commissioning of equipment • Using IT in the field for work reporting • Gas Quality work (development required for all) What we are looking for in our Network Maintenance Craftsperson • Instrumentation Apprenticeship (City & Guilds) & NVQ • You must be a logical thinker, with excellent problem solving and analytical skills • You will have a proactive attitude and be a strong team player whilst also having the ability to work on their own initiative • You will possess knowledge of codes of practice, engineering instructions and safety requirements • Full UK driving licence Desirable • EUSR Gas passport • COMPEX EX 01,02,03,04 • SCO 1, 2 and 4 • Experience on gas distribution systems • EL6 sign off (Restricted Authorised Person) • TIM 2,3,4 • HNC Level (Instrumentation) What we Offer You • Starting salary from £42,354 rising to £49,776 once fully competent plus incentive scheme, overtime and van • 41.25 hours per week • Bonus (dependent upon achievement of set targets) • 25 days annual leave (plus recognised bank holidays and 2 half days over the Christmas period) • SSP for first 7 calendar days then occupational sick pay • A generous stakeholder 5/10 pension scheme • Flexible benefits and salary sacrifice options... from discounts on a variety of UK attractions, gym membership, restaurant discounts, experience days...and exclusive NGN discounts and much more We are ...
