The roles purpose is to carry out Quality Engineering and defect investigations in support of various Quality team’s KPI’s and Processes, in the support of production, customer service and Zero Defect. Location: Hastings Your new role: Monitoring product life cycle processes and products for adherence to company and regulatory standards and practices; participating in quality improvement initiatives and projects To assist in shop floor (Assembly) Material Review Board. Ensure that Customer (both internal and external) quality queries are dealt with promptly, efficiently and professionally. To take ownership of quality assurance issues affecting TE product. To maintain quality documentation in a neat and methodical manner, both in paper copy and or electronically. To conduct 8D defect investigations and present written preventive and corrective actions to TE company standard. To review the quality/effectiveness of 8D’s and that Corrective Actions are implemented. To form part of a team who conduct audits of manufacturing and control systems. To liaise with the other departments to ensure that corrective actions and/or reworks are undertaken, and that actions and/or reports are produced in a suitably timely manner. To assist in other Quality Department activities, to include, but not limited to, daily KPI measures and internal reworks. To observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation. What Your Background Should Look Like Strong understanding of product life cycle processes, including monitoring for compliance with company and regulatory standards. Experience participating in or leading quality improvement initiatives and projects. Hands-on experience supporting shop floor (assembly) operations, including Material Review Board (MRB) activities. Proven ability to manage customer quality issues (internal and external) promptly and professionally. Demonstrated ownership of quality assurance issues related to company products. Skilled in maintaining quality documentation both electronically and in physical format—accurately and systematically. Proficiency in conducting 8D investigations, identifying root causes, and developing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Ability to review and verify 8D reports, ensuring the effectiveness of corrective actions implemented. Experience participating in internal and external audits of manufacturing and quality control systems. Strong cross-functional communication skills to coordinate corrective actions and rework activities with other departments. Sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. TE Connectivity are an equal opportunity employer
