We are looking for a Library and Information Services Assistant to join our Knowledge department in our London office. This person will provide support to the Library and Information Services Advisor and the wider firm in accessing information related services. This person will assist in maintaining and developing Stewarts’ library, information resources and internal intranet. They will develop a comprehensive understanding of our library and information resources so that they can: search and retrieve relevant content efficiently and effectively; guide others in doing so; respond to internal queries; produce written guidance and/or training. This role will require someone who is IT literate, including excellent command of Microsoft and Excel and is proficient in undertaking research in various mediums and analysing information from original sources. It will also require someone who demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and who delivers helpful internal services with a “can do” attitude.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in maintaining and developing Stewarts’ library, information resources and internal intranet.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our library and information resources so that can: search and retrieve relevant content efficiently and effectively; guide others in doing so; respond to internal queries; produce written guidance and/or training; etc.
  • Process invoices related to Stewarts’ library and information services.
  • Manage internal records and other data relating to our library, information resources and intranet.
  • Comply with relevant rules and guidelines, including relating to copyright.
  • Support the Head of Knowledge and wider Knowledge team in helping deliver ad hoc projects.

General Skills:

  • IT literate, including excellent command of Microsoft and Excel.
  • Proficient in undertaking research in various mediums and analysing information from original sources.
  • Able to analyse and present data and metrics in a meaningful way.
  • Able to adapt to changing business needs and priorities as well as technological developments.
  • Well organised, uses initiative while acting within boundaries, prioritises appropriately, shows attention to detail, manages own workload, meets deadlines.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills (respectful, reliable, positive, articulate, professional, collaborative and sympathetic).
  • Delivers helpful internal services with a “can do” approach, shows commercial awareness, commitment, enthusiasm, sound judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Reflects the firm’s culture and represents the firm appropriately.
