We have an urgent need for a Document Controller to join a construction team based on a MOD site in Swindon. The client is eager to onboard someone as soon as possible and requires availability throughout the entire project duration. This project will keep you busy for a year As the Document Controller, your primary responsibility will be to support the site team using ASITE ensuring that project information, drawings, and documentation are effectively managed, communicated, filed, and retrievable in line with the company's Electronic Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Document Control activities related to the project's design, including handling Drawings, RFIs, Tech Subs, and Sample Schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with the project manager and site manager.
  • Communicate with members of the design team and subcontractors regarding design issues and queries.
  • Provide basic administrative support to the site team.
  • Assist the Project Leader in collecting data for monthly progress/forecast reports and compile the final document for distribution.
  • Conduct audits of hard copy folders (design and H&S).
  • Offer reporting and feedback to ensure senior managers are informed about all documentation issues.
  • Identify contractual requirements related to Document Control.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Develop and customize forms and schedules for sitespecific operations.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong organizational skills, including task prioritization, adherence to deadlines, and methodical work.
  • Selfmotivated and proactive, with the ability to take initiative.
  • Capable of working under pressure.
  • High proficiency in using ASITE
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with various webbased document management systems.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry
