CNC Turner Setter/Operator (Fanuc) Hours: 6.00am to 4pm Monday to Thursday Pay Rate: Dependant on experience. We are currently recruiting for a CNC Turner (Fanuc) for our small family run subcontract machine shop. The successful CNC Turner Setter/Operator would be expected to have knowledge of working in an JIT Engineering Environment and have experience of the following machinery and control systems. Doosan Puma 3100LY - Doosan Fanuc i Series Knowledge of turn/mill and GUIDE i is an advantage. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a small production team. Why apply?

What’s the job?
  • Must have fixed head Lathe experience.
  • Ideally some Turn/Mill experience
  • Use of Fanuc guide i an advantage
  • Fanuc controls experience.
  • Time Served Apprenticeship, with an appropriate craft or technical qualification (preferable).
  • Able to read and interpret technical Engineering drawings.
  • Able to use inspection equipment such as Micrometres and applicable gauges.

  • Someone with 5 years experience or completed an appropriate craft apprenticeship.
  • Someone who can provide a great level of attention to details and focus on the given task.
  • Someone who have strong standards in quality over quantity.
  • Someone who can make a positive contribution to maintaining the workplace neat, tidy, healthy and safe.
  • Someone who is dependable, follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for own actions and keep commitments.
