Job Details
We are seeking an Energy Engineer to oversee our rebate and incentive programs administered by the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) and various utility companies. The ideal candidate will manage stakeholder and project tasks across multiple rebate projects, including those from NYSERDA, ConEdison, National Grid, and others.
Requirements- Educational Background : Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science/Studies, Architectural Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Work Authorization : Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience working with New York City energy rebate programs, along with sustainability or energy efficiency experience. Strong knowledge of energy efficiency concepts, clean energy, sustainability, carbon emissions, building energy use, public policy initiatives, energy industry market business trends, and rebate/incentive programs.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Program Management : Manage and submit program applications, including statements of work, energy data submissions, and relevant forms, photos, and other documentation for rebate programs like those from NYSERDA and utility companies. Regularly update the team about program changes, and help identify suitable clients for the rebate programs.
- Project Support : Collaborate with managers, engineers, auditors, and other staff to gather information and respond to stakeholders’ questions, concerns, and guidelines. Ensure timely collection and database entry of energy data, managing requests and analysis, and scheduling client on-boarding calls. Support lead engineers and auditors in creating deliverables like technical reports and completion documentation.
- Project Organization : Manage new project contracts, ensuring accuracy, project scope, and proper recordkeeping. Organize and update project details in the company database. Proactively identify issues, recommend process improvements, and maintain effective communication with managers about project details and billing statuses.
- Sales and Marketing Initiatives : Identify opportunities for sales and marketing initiatives by leveraging knowledge of the rebate landscape. Create and manage proposals, follow up with stakeholders, and attend stakeholder meetings, conferences, and other events to promote the company’s activities.
- Stakeholder Interaction : Participate in rebate program webinars and events, representing the company and promoting its activities.
- Travel Requirements : Depending on project needs, the role may require travel to various locations for meetings, site visits, or other stakeholder interactions.
- Communication : Regularly communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project management and program success.
- Compliance and Regulatory Awareness : Stay updated on relevant compliance and regulatory requirements to ensure rebate programs meet or exceed standards.
