At Sprint, our vision for every business to be reaching their full potential by harnessing the benefits of the latest technologies. We are looking for a skilled Java engineer to join our remote team building innovative cloud-based applications for various clients and projects.

You will play a pivotal role in the architecture, build, deployment and maintenance of Java backends on these projects.

Our backends are built in Java EE using Spring Boot and Hibernate frameworks on the Google Cloud Platform, with our frontends built in Angular.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building backend APIs on Google Cloud Platform using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate and SQL
  • Helping to maintain backend micro services
  • Working on exciting market-leading projects for various clients across FinTech, PropTech and BizTech
  • Working remotely from home and/or from your local Regus office
  • Working in the scrum agile methodology with daily standups, sprint planning sessions and retrospectives, etc
  • Using Slack, Jira, Zoom and Confluence daily to communicate with teammates

Your ideal qualities

  • Enthusastic about the possibilities of technology and coding
  • Experience with Java EE programming, Spring Boot, Hibernate and SQL
  • Knowledge of Git, Relationship Databases, Cloud Architecture
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, and Docker
  • Enjoy coding with focus on clean code and writing tests
  • Enthusiasm for working in a growing business culture, working independently and collaborating with a remote team
  • Independent worker familiar with working in Agile Scrum methodology
