As a DevOps Engineer, you will support multiple enterprise multi-tenant cloud applications distributed throughout the world in a multi-AZ AWS environment. You’ll be part of a cross functional team, and be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet our customers' needs. You’ll benefit from short sprints and a consistent work pace. And you’ll be driving innovation across some of our fastest growing product lines.

Required Experience

  • Professional experience as a Software Engineer
  • Professional experience as a Devops Engineer.
  • Experience working with Linux systems (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)
  • AWS Experience
  • High level of understanding in cloud networking - including transitive routing, site-to-site network establishment, segmented account networking, etc.
  • Comfortable with operating from the Linux command line interface
  • Python (most preferred)/BASH and/or other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with deployment/management tools (Jenkins, AWS SSM, Rundeck, etc).
  • Problem solving attitude.
  • Collaborative team spirit.
  • Ability to write efficient scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to dig in and get hands on to provide “quick win” performance improvements.
  • Ability to work outside of traditional working hours as needed by the business.

Preferred Experience

  • Comfortable with Windows DSC
  • Familiarity with NoSQL, especially DynamoDB and/or Redis.
  • Experience with serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateways, Cloudfront, etc) and containerization
  • Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

  • Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
  • Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Deploy updates and fixes
  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
  • Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues
  • Develop scripts to automate visualization and other tasks
