Are you an experienced Steel Operative used to working in a fast paced environment ? Have you got a current indate Overhead Crane license ? Advanced Recruit are recruitng on behalf of a leading player in the steel industry, renowned for our commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence. Our client are seeking a Steel Operative with overhead crane experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating overhead cranes, assisting in the movement and storage of steel products, and ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and place steel products.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the crane and other equipment.
  • Order picking and preparing steel products for dispatch
  • Working within goods in Environment when required
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of steel materials.
  • Working with various raw materials
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial setting.
  • Basic knowledge of steel products and materials handling.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High level of physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor.
  • Certification in crane operation is preferred but not mandatory.
