If so, you might be the perfect candidate for this exciting opportunity We are seeking a full-time Year 6 Teacher to join the dedicated team at a vibrant, nurturing primary school in Wallasey. The role is for 1 year, starting in September 2024. The school will consider any scale of teacher including ECTs, but candidates must have previous experience of teaching upper key stage 2 classes. The school is a vibrant and inclusive community that welcomes and values every child and celebrates their achievements. The school offers a rich and stimulating curriculum that fosters a love of learning and prepares pupils for the next stage of their education journey. Your new role As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners and follow the national curriculum. You will also be expected to assess and monitor pupil progress, provide feedback and support, and work collaboratively with other staff and parents. You will also be expected to take active involvement in the wider life of the school and extracurricular activities. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one Evidence of continuing professional development Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills Experience of teaching upper key stage 2 classes A positive and enthusiastic attitude A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children We welcome applications from teachers of all levels, from M1 to M6 scale.
