A leading global Chemical Manufacturer is looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their team in the Blackpool Area.

They are offering a salary of up to £68,000 per annum. This senior position comes with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

As the Senior Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in one of the world’s largest chemical manufacturers. They are dedicated to providing sustainable solutions across various industries such as Chemical, Engineering, Automotive, Aviation, Medical, and Electronics – aiming to create smarter and more sustainable manufacturing options.

Responsibilities of the Senior Project Engineer:
  1. Own and manage assignments worth up to £1 million.
  2. Manage detailed design processes, review design documents, and ensure deliverables suitable for manufacture and construction.
  3. Conduct technical reviews of vendor quotations and provide clear recommendations on quotation analysis sheets.
  4. Drive the EPC programme and identify any cost slippages for corrective actions in a timely manner.
  5. Assist in conceptual specification, design, and cost estimation to maintain quality standards and monitor cost items within budget.
  6. Be responsible for up to £2 million per year of capital expenditure.

To excel in the role of Senior Project Engineer, you will need:

  • An Engineering Degree (preferably in Chemical Engineering)
  • Experience in delivering projects in chemical, utility plant, and manufacturing environments
  • A proven track record of successfully managing senior projects from start to finish, including budgeting, design, materials, and timeline management
  • Knowledge of hazardous areas classification
  • Chartered Engineer status is desirable
