Site Technician

Our client, a leading logistics organisation has an opportunity for a Site Technician to join the team on a permanent basis. Working two days per week as a member of the Facilities and Maintenance team the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering maintenance, repairs and cleaning services on all company property and grounds in the Great Yarmouth site.
Conduct all planned maintenance activities (in line with the compliance database) and reactive maintenance activities, updating records as required.
Liaise with the department's Helpdesk and line manager to identify and plan schedule of works, updating records, as required.
Carry out repairs, maintenance and cleaning of all property and grounds. Including but not limited to roofs, walkways, minor service and maintenance on drains, indoor/outdoor plumbing, mowing, weeding, strimming, spraying etc.
Modify furniture and fittings and move furniture, equipment and stores.
Maintain clean and safe working environment within all operating areas, ensuring high standards throughout.
Conduct weekly fire alarm tests across Company's sites.
Safely use and maintain a range of manual and electric tools and machinery.
Liaise with, support and, where necessary, supervise internal and external personnel to ensure work tasks are always conducted in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
Plan and organise deliveries/shipments of materials to ensure deadlines are met.
Confirm materials correspond with paperwork, working with the Helpdesk to investigate discrepancies.
The ideal candidate will be a time served tradesman in a relevant trade or offer experience in a similar role. A full UK driving license is essential for this position.
