Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Role Type: Permanent – Flexible Hybrid

Location: Edinburgh

Salary: DOE

Start Date: ASAP

Experienced Embedded Software required by a world-renowned pioneer in advanced wireless technologies for the Oil & Gas industry. As the Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting an expanding R&D team, designing, developing, and testing firmware as well as being responsible for the full development lifecycle.

Our client internally develops all firmware and emphasises the following key factors in its design and development process.

  • Low Power
  • Failure safe modes

Required skills & experience.

  • Experience writing Embedded C and or C++ code.
  • Working with 8/16 bit microcontrollers.
  • A good understanding of the unique requirements and pitfalls experienced when designing code for microcontrollers.
  • Reasonable understanding of digital electronics (desirable).
