To lead the delivery ofelectronics projects at OPD and strategically develop OPD’s hardwaredesign and development offerings to our clients.

ABOUTYOU

We’re looking for an experienced hardware engineer who isconfident in delivering technically complex projects and managinghardware development from concept to production.

ROLERESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage the delivery of all electronics andembedded software componentsn· Develop proposals that accuratelyreflect the scope and requirements of hardware projects, includingtimelines, deliverables and budgetsn· Lead the technical direction ofhardware developments on a wide range of projectsn· Managesubcontractor resources and relationships required for specialistdevelopment tasksn· Collaborate with Design and Engineering teamcolleagues to develop innovative and effective solutionsn· Developstrategic direction for hardware development at OPD and build aninfrastructure to support this

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

· 5years (+) of relevant industry experience, preferably in a productdesign consultancy or similar industryn· Experience with embeddedsystems design, microcontrollers and firmware developmentn· Proventrack record of successfully managing hardware projects tocompletionn· Knowledge of compliance and certification requirementsfor hardware productsn· Degree in Electronics or ElectricalEngineeringn· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, withthe ability to build strong relationships with clients andcolleagues

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

· Abackground in product design and/or engineering, ideally including thedevelopment of diagnostic medical devicesn· Experience of working toISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards
