As a Project and Change Officer, you will be part of something transformative. You will play a key role in our Inspiring Innovative Programme , supporting the delivery of the Families First Partnership Programme – a major national reform initiative changing how children and families are supported. By managing governance, supporting engagement and ensuring smooth delivery, you’ll help create better collaboration between agencies, more efficient processes and improved outcomes for children and families. This programme introduces a whole system, child-centred approach across social care, health, education and policing, with a strong focus on early help and multi-agency collaboration. You’ll help turn ambitious plans into practical improvements that make a real difference. Key elements include: Family Help – integrated support for families to prevent crisis and keep children safely at home. Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams – bringing together social care, health, police and education professionals to deliver statutory child protection in a join-up way. Family group Dimension Making – Empowering families to shape solutions and plans for their children. Improved Information Sharing and Data Systems- ensuring timely, accurate support across agencies. Your day to day will include: Supporting the development and implementation of project plans, risk logs and change impact assessments. Maintain accurate records and produce highlight reports for boards and stakeholders. Coordinate meetings, workshops and engagement activities to ensure collaborative delivery Help embed new practice and models and systems that improve outcomes for children and families. Contribute to Somerset’s ambition for children and families through innovation and collaboration. Join our inspiring innovation programme – Help to drive change across children’s services. What kind of experience or qualifications do I need? We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you: Have strong organisational and co-ordination skills across multiple workstreams. Have experience supporting projects or programmes in complex environments. Have a commitment to innovation and improving lives. Can build strong, collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders. Can communicate effectively and confidently to engage stakeholders and support change. Have experience managing documentation, governance and reporting to keep projects on track.
