As they continue to expand and enhance operations, we are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities will include;

  • Ensure the health and safety standards are upheld at all times.
  • Provide suitable design solutions ensuring the safest practicable option is selected.
  • Lead and participate in HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA and other relevant risk identification and reduction activities related to CAPEX projects.
  • Ensure projects are conducted in accordance with all H&S requirements including CDM regulations, suitable and sufficient RAMS are provided for all tasks and suitably trained and qualified staff and contractors are used.
  • Track project expenditure against budget and provide spending forecasts.
  • Produce and update the project programme to track timescales.
  • Evaluate additional costs or works required.
  • Produce monthly progress reports for projects.
  • Manage contractors during the design, tender and construction phases.
  • Produce CAPEX papers detailing the business case and seek relevant approvals.
  • Read, interpret and appraise engineering drawings.
  • Write engineering specifications, technical and tender documentation.
  • Develop appropriate engineering solutions to suit business requirements.
  • Produce P&IDs, Plant & Equipment Schedules along with other relevant project documentation.
  • Provide motivation and direction to the team by encouraging and supporting the achievement of goals through coaching, feedback, recognition and role model the right behaviours aligned to our values
  • Identify the strengths and development areas within the team, support the team to plays to its strengths and develop the team in line with company values to maximise employee performance.
  • Lead the team in a way which builds morale and generates ownership by involving others.
  • Demonstrate accountability as a leader/manager, a passion for diversity and inclusion and support team wellbeing in all aspects of the role and teams.
Qualifications & Experience
  • HND or Degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject
  • Relatable engineering work experience.
  • Experience managing engineering projects.
  • Full driving license.
