Here at A&P Falmouth we are looking for a Commercial Procurement Business Partner who can help us develop and build relationships with new and existing suppliers, enabling us to provide our customers with cost effective, quality solutions.
A&P Falmouth is one of the largest ship-repair facilities in the UK, we provide a complete range of marine repair services thanks to our on-site engineering, electrical, paint and fabrication workshops.
As a Commercial Procurement Business Partner, you will partner with our customers, suppliers and departments across our business to promote good commercial practice:
Youll build and develop relationships with key suppliers to drive cost reduction and encourage innovation in line with regulatory requirements.
Youll analyse quotations for the selection of sub-contractors, ensuring terms from the customer flow to the supplier and vice versa.
Working closely with the Head of Procurement and Commercial Director youll negotiate commercial agreements in line with business strategy, seeking opportunities to leverage spend.
Youll monitor industry trends to ensure that APCL Group is aware of alternative and developing technologies to drive time, cost and quality improvements.
Youll assist our Estimating and Production Teams with any emergent issues during project delivery.
Youll oversee suppliers to ensure contract obligations are delivered and resolve issues appropriately.
Youll have a good knowledge and understanding of the ship repair market.
You should be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships internal and external to the business.
