We offer opportunities to work on a variety of projects including pile designs, retaining walls design, deep excavations, deep basements, propping, earthworks, slope stabilisation, rock mechanics, site investigations, marine structures and other assets. As part of the project team you will contribute to overall project delivery and will find this position highly rewarding.
We are looking for an Engineering Geologist to support the existing team in our Guildford office. This role will involve a combination of office work and site visits.
1 degree or Masters in Applied or Engineering Geology with experience in the field of engineering geology and geotechnics (minimum of five years’ experience, but all applications will be considered)
Has proven technical knowledge of specific subject areas pertaining to geotechnical works and proven ability to use relevant software
Experience and understanding of rock mapping, stereonets, kinematic assessment and risk assessment
Experienced & confident with report writing and presentation skills
Can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships and always aiming to exceeding client expectations
Degree qualified in relevant field and achieved/working towards chartered status
Committed to Continued Professional Development
Full Clean Driving Licence
Working as member of a project team to deliver quality services to clients
Monitors processes and results and ensure that they comply with relevant safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements
Assisting at the tender stage of projects
Ability to analyse and interpret data
