Production Planner

We currently have an opportunity available for a Production Planner to join our team based in Syston, Leicester. You will join us on a full-time, permanent contract, and in return will receive a competitive salary. Core working hours are Sunday to Wednesday 06:00 am to 17:00 pm with a one hour break.

The production Planner will report to the Supply Chain Manager via the Senior Planner. They will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and material requirements function at PUKKA, ensuring all materials, packaging and ingredients are on hand to meet production plans 100% in accordance with inventory targets and space constraints.

They will Finalise and release the weekly and daily production schedules for the site,

planning for full utilisation of available capacity whilst monitoring performance to ensure excellent service to our customers.

They will supporting the department and wider business by engaging in continuous improvement. in addition to taking into account optimisation of line hours and resources on a weekly basis.

Key Accountabilities

· Planning and controlling the material requirements for manufacturing

· To achieve 100% availability with minimum stock holding using ERP system

· Responsible for finalising and releasing the weekly/daily production schedule for the site, ensuring

full utilisation of capacity available and that the Schedule is adhered to achieve Customer Service

· Plan production in the most efficient methods possible and ensure adherence to cost standards

and production line capabilities

· Ensuring schedule adherence through measurement of demand vs. output

· Monitoring of daily KPI’s (service, planned efficiency, plan attainment)

· Processing and analysing of the daily customer forecasts

· The Production Planner should be able to react swiftly to changes within the factory

· Suggest improvements to eliminate or reduce waste and improve productivity

· Processing of orders into ERP system

· Organising/processing of Export orders, liaising with all key stakeholders to meet customer

requirements

Person Specification

· Work in line with The Pukka Way – doing the right thing for Our people, Our bakery, Our brand, and our environment

· Experience in FMCG supply and production planning

· Experience with ERP systems e.g., IFS/NAV/SAP

· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) – the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively at all levels

· Good planning and organisational skills

· Able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment, as well as demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· Good judgement and analytical ability

· Proficient at using IT systems, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel packages
