Head of Sales - HVAC
About the Role
My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales to start the air conditioning channel from scratch. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to establish and grow relationships with distributors, consultants, and contractors within the HVAC industry.
Key Responsibilities:
· Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate the air conditioning channel and drive revenue growth.
· Channel Development: Identify and target new business opportunities within the air conditioning sector, establishing relationships with key stakeholders including distributors, consultants, and contractors.
· Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, acting as a trusted advisor and resource for HVAC needs.
· Team Management: Build, lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve sales targets and objectives.
· Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments, leveraging insights to inform sales strategies and decision-making.
· Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams including marketing, product development, and operations to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
· Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations, maintaining ethical standards and integrity in all sales activities.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in HVAC sales, with a proven track record of success in channel development and management.
· Extensive network consisting of distributors, consultants, and contractors within the HVAC industry.
· Product knowledge in both residential and commercial air-conditioning (VRF and light commercial) products.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving sales targets and objectives.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
· Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset, capable of developing and executing innovative sales strategies to drive business growth.
