Our Client is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist within Wound Care to join their dedicated team. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care to patients with acute and chronic wounds. Drawing upon your expertise, you will assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans to promote optimal healing and improve quality of life for our patients. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds, including measurements, staging, and identification of underlying causes
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' unique needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based practices and the latest advancements in wound care technology
  • Provide direct wound care interventions, including dressing changes, wound irrigation, debridement, and application of topical medications
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients, including consultations with surgeons, physical therapists, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Educate patients and caregivers on proper wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and signs of complications
  • Conduct regular evaluations of patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to promote optimal healing and achieve desired outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with current research and trends in wound care, participating in professional development activities and sharing knowledge with colleagues

Requirements

  • Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in [state]
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a concentration in Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (WOCN) or a related specialty
  • Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Wound Care (CNS-WC) preferred
