Shire Healthcare are working in partnership with a reputable *charity* recruiting for a Lead *Psychologist *to work for a *Drug *and *Alcohol* service based in *North Somerset*.

*Role snapshot:*

This is an exciting opportunity for Psychologists who share a passion with raising awareness around *substance misuse* and *mental health*. The candidates appointed will provide high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group.

The post holder will help *grow and support *the team’s recovery workers’ ability to respond effectively to service users with past *trauma*. The successful candidate will also hold a specialist clinical caseload of co-existing substance misuse, trauma and additional mental health needs.

*Contract type* – permanent

*Hours* – 22.5 hours per week

*Salary* - £45,000 FTE

*Experience required:*

Psychologists applying will have *HCPC *registration as Clinical, Counselling or Forensic *Psychologist*. Due to this service being at the initial stages of development and expansion, previous experience in working with substance misuse, trauma, *CBT* and *motivational interviewing practice* is required.
