Job Description

What your new role will entail;

Our thriving, multidisciplinary Water Engineering team in the South West are looking for a Lead Design Engineer to join our growing teams within our Exeter, Bristol or Cardiff offices. The team are delivering an exciting portfolio of water programmes and projects through long term frameworks with key clients including major UK water companies (Wessex Water, Welsh Water, South West Water locally), contractors and international projects. This role represents a great opportunity to develop your career as a technical project leader, delivering solutions on a diverse range of projects that meet the technical challenges of today and tomorrow.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

Lead: Technical delivery of wastewater and water infrastructure / treatment projects, managing multi-disciplinary technical teams to deliver value added solutions to client challenges throughout the design lifecycle
Manage: Manage key packages of work from conception to handover, interfacing with AECOM teams, clients and suppliers to create a seamless technical solution
Collaborate: With client and AECOM counterparts to ensure stakeholder buy in to solutions, also contributing to AECOMs wider technical capability and innovative approach

Being part of the team;

Work closely with civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers to deliver a variety of interesting small and large projects from concept to delivery. Many of the project teams are UK wide, offering an excellent, unbeatable opportunity to lead a diverse, technically excellent team. You will seek innovation and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

Here's what we will need from you;

Experience in managing the technical delivery of water and wastewater engineering projects with multi-disciplinary knowledge, ideally including treatment schemes
Strong collaboration and coordination skills between teams, clients and stakeholders
Commercial awareness with experience in monitoring and control of engineering budgets
Passion for delivering technical solutions and leading technical teams
A degree or equivalent in a related engineering subject (e.g. civil, electrical, mechanical) and/or equivalent experience
