Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop Process Engineering function to enable our journey into production
  • Develop mechanisms for capturing all manufacturing processes during prototype builds
  • Develop roadmap for productionisation of build processes, including protocols for testing improved methods, materials & equipment
  • Investigate and recommend capital investments that drive efficiency, remove technological roadblocks and increase flexibility from the production process
  • Develop standardised formats for production control documentation
  • Identify opportunities to progress digitally, such that the SSC production execution system is at the forefront/ best-in-class for multi-platform production sites
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate digital learning and data capture in our production lines
  • Work within the scope of our ISO accreditations and our QMS & recommend amendments that would help to align with our business objectives

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential –

  • Experience of working within a high value, low volume production environment
  • Experience of productionising new technologies and new products
  • Production experience with composite structures

Desirable –

  • Degree qualified within engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Recognised Project Management experienced and qualification
  • Use of agile toolsets


Working Conditions:

The role will primarily be based in the SubSea Craft office in Portsmouth, UK. The position will involve work in an office as well as a manufacturing environment and occasionally at sea during trials, which may present physical challenges and require adherence to safety protocols. Note that due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with Security Check likely for specific projects.
