Finance Lead – Hybrid Role in Abingdon, Oxfordshire

As Finance Lead, you will balance hands-on financial processing with strategic projects aimed at elevating our client’s financial operations. This is a permanent and full-time role reporting directly to the CEO offering substantial exposure and opportunities for impact, making it a perfect step for someone looking to grow quickly in their career.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle day-to-day financial tasks such as accounts management, reconciliations, payroll, and reporting.
  • Redesign management and board reporting processes to enhance decision-making.
  • Implement robust systems for budgeting and forecasting, integrating these tools across business functions.
  • Engage proactively in financial optimisation projects, seeking ways to enhance financial operations.
  • Prepare for annual audits and compliance activities, ensuring all financial processes meet rigorous standards.


Requirements:

  • Progress towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA) with a few years of experience in similar fast-paced, innovative setting.
  • A strong foundation in financial practices, coupled with a readiness to take on processing tasks.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and an eagerness to drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • An adaptable and resilient character, enthusiastic about contributing to a startup environment.
