Cloud Project Manager

The main duty of the PM will involve overseeing and coordinating all aspects of this vital initiative. You'll collaborate closely with teams across different functions, ensuring a seamless migration to the cloud that stays on track and within budget.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan outlining the tasks, milestones, and timelines required for a successful cloud migration.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the "Journey to Cloud" project. Keep stakeholders informed of progress, issues, and changes.

Vendor Management: Coordinate with cloud service providers and vendors to ensure that all necessary resources and services are available and aligned with project objectives.

Resource Allocation: Collaborate with resource managers to allocate team members effectively, ensuring the project has the necessary personnel and expertise.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks associated with the cloud migration and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.

Budget Oversight: Monitor project expenses, track spending, and ensure that the project stays within budget constraints.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, generate regular project reports, and provide updates to senior management and stakeholders.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or directly related field

3+ years of experience with at least one public Cloud Provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP

3 to 5 years project management experience, with large enterprise IT projects (deployment or migration)

Knowledge of cloud technology

Experience with large and complex cloud environments

Certifications in Project Management PMI, PMP a strong plus

PRINCE or PRINCE2 Project Management certified also a plus

Overall, 7 to 10 years of technology industry experience, primarily in service delivery or project management

Shows initiative and ownership of tasks and responsibilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent time management and prioritization

Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and project management tools


Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Previous experience in cloud migration projects
