About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join the Primary Transport Team at our Grandstand site, Hereford .These are Fixed Term Contracts from 01/06/24 to 30/09/24

About the role
As a member of the Primary Transport team at our Hereford site, you will be responsible for ensuring poultry is collected and delivered to the factories in line with bird welfare. Collecting poultry from farms and delivering to Hereford and Newent sites.
Responsible for checking loads, completing paperwork and general hygiene of lorries.

Working Hours: Sun-Thurs - 10 hours daily - various start times or Mon-Fri - 10 hours daily-various start times
Benefit: HTD / £17.08 per hour

Your key responsibilities will include
• Collecting poultry from farms and delivering to Hereford and Newent sites.
• Compliance to bird welfare regulations.
• Responsible for checking loads, completing paperwork and general hygiene of lorries.

What do i need to be succesful ?
• Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised
• Hold a HGV Class 1 Driving Licence and be CPC trained
• Experience of working as part of a team of drivers
• Effective communication skills
• Basic level of Numeracy and Literacy
• Ability to carry out manual tasks

A little about our Hereford site:
The Hereford plant is our largest site and processes chicken products across two factory facilities, Grandstand Road and Yazor Road. Grandstand handles processing, whole bird production and portioning, with Yazor responsible for portioning and added value. Across the whole site approximately 1,500 people are employed and it processes 1.9m birds per week.
