About Renude
Renude is developing the world’s first dermatologist-approved AI skin advisor. With less than 650 dermatologists operating in the UK and similar shortages existing around the world, access to qualified skin advice is limited. We aim to create a way for everyone, everywhere to access reliable skin advice personalised to their needs. Our technology is capable of assessing skin conditions, recommending over-the-counter skincare and providing follow-up/monitoring support.
About the Role
As a Machine Learning Engineer you’ll work alongside a team of machine learning researchers and engineers as well as our dermatological team. Your work will play a pivotal role in developing out new generative AI features, while supporting the development of our existing technologies, including computer vision models and recommendation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, evaluate and assess AI systems performance
- Develop and deploy production-quality machine learning frameworks, while maintaining robust MLOps pipelines
- Explore and implement state-of-the-art algorithms to keep our product on the cutting edge techniques
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, conduct research, and explore innovative techniques to improve model quality and efficiency
- Influence key decisions on architecture and implementation of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions
- Apply data-centric AI approaches to enhance data quality when necessary
We use proven technologies combined with managed hosting solutions to focus on what differentiates us and produce high quality software, our current stack includes: Python, React, Postgres, AWS.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or years of equivalent experience
- Research or engineering experience in deep learning with one or more of the following: generative models, segmentation, object detection, classification, model optimisations
- Experience working with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or Keras
- Experienced with foundational Large Language Models (LLMs) APIs
- Experience in LLMs quantitative analysis
- Exposure to MLOps practices
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and agile development methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters or advanced degree in artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or related field
- 3+ years experience writing production ready code
- Prior experience with AWS Cloud stack (SageMaker, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS)
