Job Description

We recognize that successful deployment of our technology is amplified by enabling the developer ecosystem. When developers have the right tools and information, they are better able to realize the value of our technology in their applications.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for discovering, understanding, and addressing the specific needs of key developer cohorts in our infrastructure. This involves coordinating across internal and external organizations to define and implement solutions that meet these needs efficiently. Our goal is for developers to have a better experience with our technology than with any other compute technology ecosystem.

Job Overview

The cloud-to-edge infrastructure is undergoing a once-in-a-generation transformation as companies across the industry adopt our compute technology. To accelerate the best-in-class tooling ecosystem, we aim to engage with key developers. This role will focus on defining and implementing solutions and products that streamline deployment using our technology.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Developer Discovery: Identify and connect with representative groups of developers, including those at our partners who implement our technology and web application developers who run their workloads on our platforms. Prioritize teams that optimize their software to create the best experiences on our compute technology. Work with our User Experience (UX) research teams to discover unaddressed needs.
  • Problem Discovery: Frame and justify the most critical problems that need to be addressed to transform the development experience.
  • Problem Solution Coordination: Work across internal and external ecosystem teams to agree on solutions to key problems. Determine who is responsible for implementing specific parts of the overall solution. Drive program, technical, commercial, and support teams across the industry to construct and deploy the solutions. Follow up with UX teams to analyze and collate developer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Product Management: Represent our performance tools for infrastructure as the product manager, regularly meeting with customers to shape requirements and devise the roadmap in collaboration with the engineering team. Take charge of outbound communication for performance tools products.
  • Partnership & Collaboration: Build and nurture collaboration across our organization, partners, and the wider developer community to encourage and empower active engagement with multifunctional teams. Establish connections across the value chain to create compelling solutions.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Bring your ideas and embrace those from others. Adapt quickly to changing dynamics and feedback, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Functional Knowledge:
  • Proven technical experience creating software technology.
  • Experience working across multiple organizations and engineering functions to develop and deploy technology.
  • Background in cultivating developer communities, with a track record in connecting with individual developers.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject such as computer science.
  • Infrastructure background or demonstrable knowledge of AWS, Azure, etc.
  • People Skills:
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a diverse set of audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly collaborative, with a capacity to inspire and motivate disparate groups to align around shared goals and strategic priorities.
  • Leadership:
  • Exceptional strategic leadership skills, highly organized, and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Ability to lead across boundaries without organizational authority.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Proven success in encouraging a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.

In Return You will join a team with significant opportunities to build our future success in developer tools and software. The environment will be fast-paced and exciting, providing chances to flex your strategic and innovative thinking muscles.

You'll also be well-supported in growing your knowledge and capabilities, with extensive opportunities to broaden your network. As the team grows, there may be opportunities to undertake line management and career development of other team members.

Join us in shaping the future of technology ecosystems, driving the adoption of groundbreaking technologies, and empowering developers to create innovative solutions that will continue to redefine our industry.
