AIT Engineer - Glasgow

About the Role:

We are seeking an AIT Engineer to join our busy Production team in Glasgow. This role involves providing technical expertise and production support for manufacturing product platforms for small satellite missions. You'll ensure adherence to cost, quality, safety, and timescales, and actively participate in spacecraft assembly, integration, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute work tasks to meet standards, budgets, and deadlines.
• Lead spacecraft assembly, integration, and test activities.
• Conduct spacecraft environmental tests and analyze results.
• Produce comprehensive AIT Plans and reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Foster positive stakeholder relationships.

Skills Required:

• Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on engineering experience, proficient with lab test equipment.
• Familiarity with standard tests for spacecraft AIT campaigns.
• Ability to investigate and resolve system-level problems.
• Experience in spacecraft build and testing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software and fluent in English.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with cubesat build and test.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout design software.
• Programming skills, particularly in Python.
• Familiarity with ESA ECSS standards or equivalent international standards.
• Previous engagement with small/medium-sized businesses.
