Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Azure - London - £80,000 base salary


Orbis are partnered with a global independent financial advisory firm, who provide market leading investment and wealth management solutions to large institutions, high net-worth individuals and governments worldwide.


They are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join their Core Tech Infrastructure team in London, who can drive and deliver their Cloud strategy and take ownership of their Cloud estate to enhance the capabilities of their Azure services.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on, Azure Cloud Engineer looking to take the next step in their career to lead a Cloud function for a global enterprise and build a team around you.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Work closely with the CTO, senior stakeholders and wider technology teams to design and implement new cloud services
  • Technically test and validate these new services, ready for production
  • Create and maintain technical and process documentation across the Cloud service, including managing third party suppliers
  • Deliver multi-region Azure infrastructure and services in-line with modern practices


What you’ll need:

  • Proven track record of administering Microsoft Azure technologies, including infrastructure and platform deployment.
  • ~5 years experience managing distributed Cloud Native systems in hybrid environments
  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code tools and concepts
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps; Github, Gitlab, DevOps
  • Knowledge of unit tests, integration tests YAML and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Azure suite and tools
  • Strong scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, SQL
  • Understanding of Kubernetes and Microservices



This role will be London based and require you to be in the office 3 days per week.
