Job Title: Graphic Designer

(£25-£37k – flexible working as standard, part time considered, hybrid working as standard with 1 day a week in the office)

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our small, creative and passionate team. You will play a crucial role in developing and producing visually compelling designs that will help our clients to communicate complex technical concepts, systems, and solutions. You will have a flexible attitude and enjoy the fast paced nature of agency life, with the ability to think outside of the box and suggest design concepts that challenge the norm. The role will require you to feel comfortable collaborating with clients and working as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative design concepts, graphics, and layouts for a variety of projects, including marketing materials, presentations, technical documentation, and multimedia content.
  • Translate technical information and complex concepts into visually engaging designs that effectively communicate key messages and information to target audiences.
  • Work closely with clients, project managers, and subject matter experts to understand project requirements, objectives, and specifications, and incorporate feedback to refine designs and deliver exceptional results.
  • Maintain brand consistency and adhere to design guidelines while ensuring creative excellence and attention to detail in all deliverables.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance design skills and capabilities.
  • Have the ability to work to tight deadlines.


Qualifications:

 

  • Proven experience (5 years) working as a Graphic Designer, preferably within an agency.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work, including print and digital materials, with evidence of technical or complex subject matter.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of defence terminology, concepts, and technologies is a plus.
