A prestigious city law firm is seeking an experienced Senior eDisclosure/eData Specialist to join their Technology team.


Department Overview

Our Technology team is crucial to the firm's operations, supporting our strategic goals and ensuring we deliver innovative legal services. The Legal Technology group aims to enhance legal processes through cutting-edge technology, striving to build a leading legal tech practice.


The Role

As a Senior eDisclosure/eData Specialist, you will support the eDisclosure/eData team, which works with departments like Dispute Resolution, Competition, Employment, and Commercial, Technology, and IP. This is a fixed-term contract with the potential for extension based on workload. The role requires at least 60% office attendance and involves reporting to the eDisclosure/eData Team Lead.


Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Support:

  • Capacity planning with Team Lead guidance.
  • Leading a POD, supporting team members with planning, technical issues, and project tasks.
  • Clear task delegation and deadline management.
  • Handling technical queries and requirements across various practice groups.
  • Engaging with legal teams to plan and organise matter timelines.
  • Direct client interaction and management under legal team instructions.
  • Coordinating with external providers.
  • Acting as a liaison between legal teams, clients, and external providers.


Monthly Support:

  • Preparing business and marketing documents for new matters.
  • Managing and maintaining awareness of team-supported matters.
  • Selecting appropriate technology for different data types.
  • Advising teams on technology, workflow, and costs.
  • Quality checking training documents.
  • Creating quotations and organising billing.
  • Overseeing production instructions and disclosures.
  • Consulting on data reviews and client scoping.


Person Specification – Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Management experience or strong leadership skills for supporting junior team members.
  • At least 7 years of experience with review platforms such as Relativity, Axcelerate, Nuix Discover, Everlaw, or DISCO.
  • Certifications in review platforms like Relativity, Axcelerate, Nuix Discover, BrainSpace, DISCO, etc.
  • Professional experience in the eDiscovery lifecycle or legal operational support.
  • Awareness of technologies like AI, Document Verification, Bundling, Court Presentation.
  • Experience with litigation, investigations, regulatory matters, and Data Subject Access Requests.
  • Expertise in data manipulation and consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Management and GDPR.
  • Experience in a consultancy, law firm, or professional services firm.
