Core Telecom is a market leading and fast-moving Global Telecommunications Network based in Leeds. We are dynamic, growing, and provide specialist wholesale telecommunication solutions to clients based around the globe. We now seek an experienced head-office based A2P SMS Carrier Services Director to join the team. This is a mixed and varied proactive office based technical development role with great growth potential.


Main purpose of role - To support, grow and develop our existing international SMS division, including the technical implementation of the company’s long-term projects and goals.


Responsibilities include:

*Drive Development – Management of existing supplier and customer accounts and proactive growth of SMS volumes through routing opportunities & dynamic development insight.

*Increase client base - To pinpoint & acquire additional SMS growth through new interconnects & relationships

*Mentoring and developing existing SMS team with new ideas and business practices

*Project lead for advanced technical projects and company goals


Essential skills/Experience

•    3+ years of experience in A2P SMS Wholesale Sales or Business Development on an international scale.

•    Excellent understanding of the A2P SMS Ecosystem with established industry relationships within Bulk SMS (Wholesale-Enterprise, OTT, Business Messaging, Long Numbers, Short Code, VAS, etc.).

•    Extensive professional network in the SMS Wholesale industry.

•    Excellent communication skills

•    Through understanding of SS7 and experience working with SCCP operators

•    SMSC, SMPP, HTTP, HTTPS, SIGTRAN, SS7 experience

•    Knowledge and relevant experience on VPN and messaging nodes (SMSC, Bulk SMS, SMSR, SMS HUB)

•    Provide 24X7X365 NOC Support for VAS related issues

•    Manage day to day operations of SMPP SS7 SMS NOC Customer/Vendor/Route/Rate Configuration Management, Trace Capturing & Troubleshooting

•    3+ years of experience in A2P SMS Wholesale Sales or Business Development on an international scale.
