This is an onsite role based in Portsmouth working on naval ships, if you have a keen interest in this field this could be a great role to kick start your career


THE ROLE

  • Integration Design Solutions for the introduction of new equipment into Maritime Platforms, activities consisting of:
  • Liaison with MoD Customer and Industry Partners throughout the Design process
  • Ship Survey(s)
  • Production of an Installation Solution Pack consisting of Electrical/System Drawings, Penetrations, Cable Data Sheets, Bill of Materials and associated Installation Instructions
  • Ship Surveys in support of Equipment Material State Reports, Equipment Configuration Control and Ship Power and Load Chart Management
  • Maintaining Ship Databases for Electrical Power Distribution and Blown Fibre Networks
  • Support Ship-build electrical detailed design activities across the Business


SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of Electrical Systems theory
  • Interpret and apply Electrical Design Standards
  • Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Installation Practices and Electrical Distribution Systems desirable
  • Familiarity of AUTOCAD & FORAN toolsets desirable
