Driver Hire Edinburgh City have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Driver to work along side our client on an on-going basis that may result in a temp – perm for the right candidate.

As a Class 2 Driver you must:

Have a Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Licence

Have valid CPC & Digi tacho cards

Have less than 6 points on your licence and no endorsements over 3 points

Be physically fit and able to do heavy lifting

Have held your licence for at least one year

Have at least 60 days commercial driving experience within the last six months

Class 2 drivers responsibilities include:

Carrying out routine vehicle checks

Delivering to commercial and residential properties within the local and surrounding areas

Filling out all relevant paperwork

You will be assisted with a porter to help with heavy lifting

Adhering to Health & Safety rules at all times

The successful HGV2 Driver can expect:

Monday- Friday: £13.50 PAYE

Saturday: £20.25 PAYE

Sunday: £27.00 PAYE

Overtime after 8hrs: £20.25 PAYE

7am & 11am Start times

8hrs minimum guaranteed pay per day

Ad-hoc shifts (Perfect to fit around other work or commitments)

Weekly Pay

Holiday accrual with every shift

This position is commutable from Leith, Dalkeith, East Lothian, and surrounding area’s.
