Role Description

As a Junior Paraplanner at Douglas White Financial Planning, as well as working with more traditional client profiles, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with professional athletes, including professional footballers, and other high-profile individuals. This role offers exposure to a dynamic and exciting client base, providing valuable experience in addressing the complex financial needs of elite athletes.


We are committed to supporting your professional development and helping you build a successful career in the financial services sector. There is a clear development path through to senior paraplanner or financial advisor if desired.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist senior paraplanner in preparing and maintaining client files.

- Conduct research on financial products, investment strategies, and market trends.

- Prepare suitability reports and financial planning documents.

- Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and clarify details.

- Support the implementation of financial plans and strategies.

- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance standards.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and client satisfaction.

- Undertake any additional tasks or projects as assigned by management.


Requirements:

- Ideally at least part-qualified in or working towards a relevant financial services qualification (e.g., Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or similar).

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- A high standard of written communication

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial planning software.

- A desire to learn and develop within the role.

- Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance standards (desirable).
