We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee our organisation’s ongoing operations, growth and procedures. You will have proven leadership abilities, excellent strategic thinking skills, and a deep understanding of the building services market. You will be responsible for the efficiency of the business and maintain control of diverse business operations.


Our Client is a multi-disciplinary building services company offering mechanical and electrical, heating, property response maintenance, capital works, and sustainable energy solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Create and carry out business plans, strategies, and processes, such as the strategy for growth and transformation.
  • Establish detailed objectives for development and performance.
  • Create policies that support the mission and culture of the business.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the business in each of its business units.
  • Develop your staff and lead high-achieving teams to inspire utmost effort and commitment.
  • Analyse and understand KPIs to assess team performance.
  • Take part in growth initiatives by evaluating possible acquisitions and investments.
  • Maintain partnerships and vendors' connections while optimising their services and results.


Requirements:

  • Track record of success as COO or in a similar position.
  • Knowledge in contract fulfilment and project management.
  • Working with the Senior Management team and CEO to create and carry out strategic growth plans.
  • Verify adherence to pertinent laws, rules, and contractual requirements.
  • Proven proficiency in business development and strategic planning.
  • Practical understanding of operation/performance measurements and data analysis.
  • Practical familiarity with MS Office and IT/business infrastructure.
  • The ability to make decisions and solve problems.
  • Excellent financial literacy and business acumen, with a commitment to effective cash management and experience managing budgets.
  • While not required, prior experience with businesses owned by investors or private equity firms is preferred.
  • While not required, prior experience in the building services industry or a related field is preferred.
