B&J are pleased to be recruiting for an experienced and ambitious IFA to join a long-established Belfast based Advisory firm offering advice to our loyal customer base.


We are primarily focused on pensions but also advise on investments and protection policies.


We are a small business, and this is an excellent opportunity to work directly with our existing clients to complete the end-to-end annual review process / client servicing with a strong emphasis on pensions advice.

 

Role Specification


B&J will provide an existing established client base for our new Advisor to specifically manage all client needs:

·        Completion of the end-to-end annual review process for your clients.

·        Incorporating the servicing of top up business within the annual review as part of our ‘one and done’ philosophy into the annual review with existing clients.

·        Identify and onboard new customers to add to our customer base.

·        Completion of all client servicing tasks for your clients

·        Conduct all activities in line with FCA guidelines and B&J processes.

·        Identify and onboard new customers to add to our customer base.

·        Proactively manage your own CPD

 

Person Specification


The Ideal Person will demonstrate the following characteristics:


·        Significant experience as working as an IFA (at least 10 years in role).

·        Ideally Level 6 qualified IFA but Level 4 with Pensions qualifications will be considered.

·        High ethical standards required.

·        To act with integrity and put customer needs first at all times in line with our consumer duty policies.

·        Good track record on providing practical advice that is well documented to all clients.

·        Significant experience of dealing with clients in Pensions accumulation and drawdown

·        A self-starter who is able to manage and prioritise his own workload and also being fully hands on with all aspects of client work.

·        A rounded individual who has very good client relationship skills but also very good eye for detail and accuracy

in the preparation and write of all client interactions / correspondence.

·        Familiarity with a variety of different provider platforms and dealing with providers directly.

·        Good team player with a positive can-do attitude and flexible to contribute to the changing needs of a small business.

·        Comfortable being a mentor for junior team members progressing through professional qualifications.

·        Competent in using modern IT such as Office 365 and provider portals.
